Gillian
started her career as a professional tennis coach
before developing an interest in injuries & their
management.
She has been involved in sport all
her life, competing in junior national tennis tournaments & playing
in the American collegiate tennis system after gaining
a tennis scholarship & studying sports science. She
still plays competitive tennis representing Lancashire & keeps
fit with the odd triathlon.
Following a debilitating foot injury Gillian suffered from 6 years ago, she found prescription orthotics to be the crucial thing to relieve her symptoms and correct her foot biomechanics. This led her to undertake further study in foot biomehanics and orthotic prescription and has invested in a state of the art TOG Gaitscan equipment to help others. She also works for leading orthotic company TOG as a trainer.
Gillian is passionate about keeping others
fit & healthy to enjoy their own activities
as she knows how frustrating it is to be injured!
What Gillian's clients say:
"Following a neck injury sustained several years ago, regular osteopathic treatments have been invaluable in helping me to maintain flexibility and remain pain free. Regular maintenance allows me to continue playing the sports that are important to me and to pursue an active lifestyle." Louise
"I do a lot of different sports such as tennis, golf, triathlon, skiing on a very regular basis and I have been working with Gill for more than 5 years now. She has helped me to overcome varied injuries such as achilles problems, painful knees, sore back necks and injured shoulders! Her treatments have been of great help to me and have been a key enabler to staying fit." Delphine
“Gill has provided an excellent service over the past 18 months and been consistently able to address my immediate issues and more importantly diagnose the root causes of the injuries so that I can get back to health in the short term – and stay that way.” Steve
"Maintenance treatments help me during times when I am doing a lot of running. Areas that are beginning to tighten can be identified and treated before they get too tight causing injury. I can also then focus on them when stretching to keep me fit to train." Sarah
